Shauna was my best friend growing up. We shared so many fun times together from sleepovers to studying for math tests, then from babysitting to school dances to double dates. We laughed, we cried, we failed we succeeded, we got married, we had kids, we drifted apart. I am deeply saddened to hear of Shauna's sudden passing. I have faith that she is with her beloved grandmother in heaven who she loved so dearly. My deepest condolences extended to Brenda, Leo, Shane and family in Cape Breton as well as Shauna's loving husband Dan, their 3 beautiful children and extended family.

Heartfelt condolences to Shauna's family. I met Shauna because our oldest sons went to the same daycare and elementary school. We enjoyed many movie outings (Twilight saga will always remind me of Shauna) and many laughs.

Shauna and I were not close, but we did graduate together and had mutual friends. Our grad class was enormous, so it was difficult to get to know everyone, so she wasn’t in my immediate circle of friends. But I remember her with fondness. I remember her pretty blond hair, her beaming smile, and how everyone around her would smile and laugh whenever she was around. It was obvious that she was a great person who was blessed with so many people who loved her and that trend continued for the rest of her far too short life. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Dan, her kids, her entire family and all her many friends. Rest In Peace, Shauna. Life is not fair sometimes, but I’m glad you’re pain is over.

Shocked and saddened by this news! We considered Shauna as part of our family growing up in Caledonia with our daughter, Bonnie. A sweet lady who loved her family dearly gone way too soon.
