Obituary of William "Bud" Stoodley

It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of "Bud" at Arborstone on August 21, 2022. Born in Jersey Harbour, Nfld, he was the son of George and Emma Stoodley.

He spent his life working at sea, first on fishing vessels, then with the Dept of Transport. Bud loved dancing with his beloved wife Ada as well as making scaled replicas of the "Bluenose".

Surviving are his children, Wally, Sheila (Don), Claude (Shirley), Christine (Bob), Junior (Ruth) and Darren; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Aside from his parents he was predeceased by wife Ada and daughter Melinda. There will be a chapel service on Sunday August 28th at 11:00 am at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax.
