Obituary of Marie Evelyn Scott

Scott, Marie Evelyn (94) of Halifax (formerly Bayside) passed away in Melville Gardens on December 1st. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Nellie (Dow) Yeadon. She was an employee at Simpsons for seven years, and worked for 15 years as Assistant Registrar of births and deaths and issuer of marriage licenses. From 1968-78 she and her husband owned and operated the Pine Cone Motel and Trailer Park in Sussex, NB. She enjoyed many winter months in Melbourne, Florida, and she also enjoyed many hobbies. She was a member of Bethany United Church and Bayside Baptist Church. She is survived by  her niece, Wendy Fleet, and nephew, Larry Shaw, both of Bayside, also great nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her sister, Shirley Shaw. Cremation has taken place. A private Service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sackville, will take place at a later date.
