I would sometimes see Chris at The Arms pub at the Lord Nelson Hotel where he was a regular. I shall think of him whenever I pass his preferred seat. Condolences to all who knew him

I am sad to learn that Chris has passed away. I grew up knowing his father and was pleased to be Chris's driving teacher at Young Drivers of Canada. It was something that Nick would question me about when we would meet on Quinpool Road. I know Chris was very sad at his father's passing. I only met him a few times in later years so my standard question was 'how is your driving'. He can now rest with his parents. I send regards to all who knew him or those who are feeling alone. I will light a candle at Saint Patrick's Church on Brunswick Street to remember his short life. Rest in Peace.

Kathleen and I are so very sad to hear of Chris’s death. Kathleen and Chris were born around the same time, both of older parents so had a lot in common. Colleen and I took the day off work to walk them to their first day of school. We thought we would spend the morning with them but sadly we had to say goodbye at the school doorstep. We were at a loss at how to spend the rest of the day. Both families later enjoyed a trip to Disney World together. It was a great adventure. Chris took a ride on the luggage conveyor belt at the airport causing some anxious parental moments. They attended each other’s birthdays in the early years and visited each other’s homes until it wasn’t cool for boys and girls to mix. We lost touch with Chris in his adult years. However, we will always remember the young Chris and mourn his passing.
Sincere sympathy to his family. Carolyn and Kathleen Gallagher

I worked at Halifax City Hall back in the 1980's. I knew Alderman Meagher. He was a lovely person, dedicated to his City. Sending courage to any friends and family connected to this family now in mourning.
