Obituary of Nicholas Christopher Meagher Jr

Age 43, of Halifax, died suddenly on December 8, 2022. He was the only child to the late Nicholas Meagher Sr., D. Pharm, and the late Colleen (Williams) Meagher. Nicholas Meagher Sr. was the longest serving Alderman in Halifax’s history. Meagher Park was named in his honour. Chris graduated from Kings Edgehill in Windsor, and subsequently attended the University of King’s College. He was in the Army Reserve and became a Master Corporal before retiring. Chris was a very private person and died alone. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. In keeping with Chris’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. An interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where he will be buried with his parents.
