I knew Kathy through tales Dale would tell of her hunting and tuna fishing to provide lunches for him. I then got to know her for real through Facebook messenger. Dale had a lot of love for her and of course Dales stories were all in fun, no hunting or fishing involved. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

My first memory of your mom is Tim Hortons. She seemed to be working all the time there. She would arrive at the building dressed in uniform.
She was a very kind and considerate person. She did not want to burden me with issues in their unit, but I would tell her that it's not a problem and she could call anytime. She kept us updated on your dad's progress during this pass while.
Very sorry that this happened to you and your families.

My husband, Brian McCarthy grew up with Dale and the Lewins near the Pubs. I heard always about Dale, Mark, Linda and their mother Esther was great friends with Brian’s mother, Betty McCarthy.
But….. what I didn't know until I saw your beautiful Mother’s face on her obituary was that I knew her from all the years she worked at Tim Horton’s in Sunnyside Mall where I worked in the tower for Ford Credit.
I never made the connection. Cannot believe this.
I worked every Camp Day, and I so admired her stamina..her laughter…..I remember her saying to me once - you gotta keep busy working here - “you lean, you clean “
She talked about her husband, her children, she was so darn proud…. And then they closed our branch and I was retired….and I never laid eyes on her again.
Kathy, I wish I could tell you the connection between our husbands.
Our hearts are just broken over hearing that Kathy has passed and then her loving Dale. Your family has been through so much, losing your Grandmother, Mom & Dad .. .. all within a week.
Have a little bit of peace knowing that they are all together once again… and they will never leave your sides.
Sending you all much love and deep sympathy,
Judy & Brian McCarthy

There are no words that can be expressed to the family that remains. This being her immediate family and her extended family of friends and her past co-workers. I had the privilege of working with Kathy her entire career at Tim Hortons. There was no one like her then or in the years after she finished working. She was beyond dedicated, loyal, honest and dependable. I remember her first day of work, she was so nervous about working with the public and it took a few days to get her comfortable with this transition. After those few days she thrived! Kathy was a joy to work with and knowing I would see her everyday made my time at Tims more enjoyable. She was a treasure. Kathy will be deeply missed and will be thought of often with a smile in my heart.

I met Kathy back in 2012 when I was posted to Halifax. She was always ready for a quick conversation when i went to Tims for break and lunch. She always had something nice today say and a very good listener. So respectful of others and will not forget her kindness. I will never forget her for the rest of my life. RIP Kathy and her husband you both will be missed. My heart goes out to her kids and family during this time.
