Dear Donna and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. In honouring his true nature he fought his illness with courage and dignity. We are very proud to have known Barry. His life was too short in years but not in substance. Brian and I will truly miss him, his huge smile, kind heart and laughter that filled a room. You could tell that Barry really enjoyed the time on the ice and of course in the dressing room telling stories and having a few Buds. I will miss that smile and the stories. RIP Barry.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Barry Mitchell who was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and a great friend. He was the guy who could light up a room of people with his humor, enthusiasm for life, and his camaraderie spirit for friendship not to mention how great he was with his favorite sports and horseshoes. He will be sadly missed by the many of people who crossed his path, and we are grateful of the times we have spent together over the years.
May the sorrow you feel in your hearts lighten by the love that surrounds you all during this difficult time. Know that you will always have the wonderful memories to cherish and comfort you and know that he is not suffering any longer. He is resting peacefully with loved ones that have gone before him.

I knew Barry from working with him, at MTT. We were one big family back then. I was glad to hear he retired to Margaretsville and got to make memories outside of work. His memory will live on in the hearts of all he touched along the way. RIP Barry

We meet Barry and Donna on many occasions when they came to Fox Mountain Camping Park to ride on ATV trails or just to visit Patricia and Steve. He was a fun guy to be around. And if I remember the story correctly, once he stopped working he became a contest junkie, winning more times than not with the radio etc contests. He will be missed.

Donna and family,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Barry.
My memory of Barry goes back to Brookside Jr High days. My locker was beside Robert Sampson's and everyday him and Barry would be there. Their laughter was so contagious and something we all could always count on hearing. They were always up to something.
The world has lost yet another light but may you shine down upon us as you take your place among the stars.
