Obituary of Joan Rosa

Joan Rosa, age 73, of Spryfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Q.E.II Infirmary where she was called home. Joan was born in the town of Fortune, Newfoundland and was a daughter of the late William and Elsie (Withrell) Crant. She was one of ten children. 

Joan was a devoted Salvation Army Soldier and volunteer. She was loved and also was a devoted wife and mother.

Surviving are her husband of thirty-seven years, Dominique; her daughter, Marianne; mother-in-law, Reine Rosa; twin sister, Jean Dignard; sisters, Leah McGibbins, Diane Jones, Doreen Crant, Linda (John) Barnes, Irene (Joe) Ryan, Sheila (Aubrey) Ralph, Rita Smith; brother, Jim (Jessie) Crant.

Joan was predeceased by her sister, Bessie Crant.

Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 in the Salvation Army Church, 328 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, N.S.
