My sincere condolences to family and friends of Pastor Gerry. I met Gerry late in life at a meeting he hosted in CCM at Scotia Square, and prayed with him over his beloved city of Halifax. He was passionately concerned for the lost to know Christ. Tim Sleigh, retired RCMP

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Pastor Gerry. Sending our condolences and prayers to his family. Pastor reached out to our Church in East Preston some years back and asked if some of us could join him in doing street Pastor Ministry. There was five of us from the East Preston church who would accompany him and others in our walks around Halifax and Dartmouth. He was truly a man of God and has left a lasting impact on me and the many lives he touched through prayer and acts of kindness. Well done thy good and faithful servant. Take you rest from your labor.
Sincerely, Reverend Debbie Simmonds

I first met Gerry in 2008, which was a point of dormancy and then revival of City Centre Ministry up until recent times. I'll never forget his ebullient greeting each time we met with him saying "Harry m'boy!", which always brought a smile. We shared hard work together in harmony bringing the office space to a respectful level as a Christian meeting place, such as painting, new (to us) furniture, creating newsletters to metro churches, and of course as an outlet for InTouch Ministry pamphlets and books by Dr. Charles Stanley, who himself passed away last week. Gerry was truly devoted to his Ministry, always doing his best to serve the Lord in his own special way. He is to be commended for his role in establishing such a vibrant and effective street ministry in recent years. Known and loved by all whom he knew... a Man of God, now with God!

I would like to extend sincere condolences and I speak for many from his friends and those of the Staff of Sackville Sports Stadium.
He was the first in the doors of early open hours with a regimented and dedicated routine I admired. His tenacious laugh and kindness I will not forget.. He showed compassion and understanding and time to time a Hug.. I wish Gerry Peace
