Fred and I were fortunate to have a good visit with Mom in September 2023. We took her clothing shopping, to the Public Gardens and bought her an ice cream cone. We were quite impressed with how she handled the electric scooter like an old pro!
She enjoyed living at Arbourstone and I am grateful to the staff there who looked after Mom special thanks to Rebecca for sharing her baby and a kitty with Mom (apparently Mom lit up holding the baby) and to Kaci for allowing me to connect with Mom virtually over the past few months.
I owe a debt of gratitude to my sister-in-law, Karen for her love, caring, and patience with Mom over the years, even when Mom wasn't always appreciative or the most cooperative. For all the appointments she took Mom to, for ensuring that no valuable papers or sentimental possessions were discarded, and for the monumental task of clearing out Mom's apartment when she moved to Arbourstone.
I am at peace knowing that she is herself again and reunited with my sister, Carla, her sisters, Vivian and Muriel, and our Uncle Ken.
