Obituary of Evelyn Veronica Cameron

CAMERON, Evelyn Veronica- Age 94 of Halifax, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn Veronica Cameron on June 5, 2024, at Arbourstone Enhanced Care.  Born in Wine Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Conroy) Mills.   Evelyn worked in Toronto in 1950, married her first husband Andrew Henderson, and had their first child.  She worked as a nurse as a LPN all her life. In 1957 she married her second husband, James Cameron of 24 years, and had four more children. Sadly on March 25, 1979, their daughter Carla Cameron, died in a car accident. 

Evelyn is survived by her children, David Henderson, Valarie Blenkhorn, Elaine Cameron, and Sharon Cameron; brother, Everette Mills; daughter-in-law, Karen Henderson; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.  She was predeceased by her husband James Cameron; daughter, Carla Cameron; sisters, Vivian Carruthers, and Muriel Shea.
