Times passes by so quickly one day your a child then a man ,memories of Allan when I was in school and had a chance to know him were of this young man just waiting for bigger things ,in class he would always be tapping his pencil to some beat in his head always thinking about what was to come next,my heartfelt wishes go out to his family ,he was way to young to leave this earth,rest in peace my friend.

When I heard of Allan passing I was shocked still trying to process it . I met Allan in grade 3 when he moved down from Ontario . We became friends from that day on . I lost contact with Allan in the last number of years , but thought of him at times . I will always consider Allan a good friend . He will be missed. Your friend Keith McNeil

Allan. I am in absolute shock that you are gone. I hold so many dear memories of you; Our chats, love of music, our shared passion of running.. I particularly remember the time when you were living in Dartmouth close to me, when you fell and messed up your shoulder while you were running. I wish it was still just your shoulder. I remember the time you invited me out to Jacob's bar to check out your band and other fantastic original bands to take my mind off my upcoming foot surgery. For that I will always be thankful. To Pam whom I never met. Although I wish I had. When he moved to Halifax, we didn't get to see each other, but we kept in touch on social media. . He was a Father first and foremost. He loved his kids beyond measure. Everyone knew this. My deepest sympathies to both families affected by this unspeakable loss. I've know Al since the early '80's and had the pleasure of playing in a band with him for a while. He was a dedicated father with a passion for his kids. He also was very creative as an artist and poet. His love of music was unparalleled. He was a great supporter of local music and an advocate for social issues that were close to him or his family and friends. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
