Obituary of Allan P. Doy

52, Timberlea. It is with a heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of Allan Doy on Monday, March 20, 2017. Allan will be remembered by many for his sense of humor, loving nature, willingness to help anyone in need. Al had a great love for music and writing, he was always working on his next project and found inspiration from his love of life. Allan was a loving father of 3, and an excited Grand Father to his brand new granddaughter, Audrey whom he was so proud of and excitedly waiting to meet. Allan is survived by his son, Aaron Doy (Courtney Gardner); daughters, Aarika and Shannon Doy; Mother, Audrey Doy; his sisters, Cathy Johnson and Andrea Fennell (Trevor Fennell); his nieces, Taylor Johnson and Ella Fennell; nephews, Nick Johnson and Ethan Fennell; his beautiful granddaughter, Audrey and his loving partner, Pam Gardner; extended family, Jasmin, Jahsara and Ashley, Jaylah and Aliyah; and so many other brothers, sisters, children, nieces and nephews he thought of as his own. Allan was predeceased by his father, Patrick "Papa" Doy. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where a Celebration of Allan’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia.
