I am the classmate of Hong in Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1994 through 1998. We lived in the same dorm with Yuqin, Shuren and Xiaorong. Hong like people and had many friends. I am luck to be one of them. He liked to play card, bridge, and was very good at it, Xiaorong is his partner. Hong was also the member of the University choir and had lot of time to practice and performance. Hong likes basketball, Chunming and I spent a lot of time with him on the basketball court. We would always drink a icy soybean milk after the game. Hong took everybody in our class as his deer friend and maintained good relationship with everybody. Hong was our class secretary. He assisted Jiongfeng, our first class president, to win the excellent class in the university. He then was selected as class president in the fourth college year. Hong is outgoing, excited, and a very caring person. Even we are the same age, but he always like my big brother giving me a lot of suggestions. Hong like sing when taking bath. You can hear that in the hall way. A lot of time, you would heard from the hall way that Hong called out "Let's play card." Hong was also a good listener. I called him several time since I was in the states. The first time, I felt down. I called him and he suggested me to restart my fellowship with some Christian brothers. I became believer of Jesus in September 3, 2007, the labor day because of that. He is the person, I always think to call when I was in tough time for his caring and love and you always felt welcomed. Hong, we will miss you. It is pity that we could not see each other since we left China. But I will be so happy to see you again in heaven with our Lord Jesus.

We are saddened to hear the news that our dear brother Tang Hong in Christ passed away. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family. 2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Our dear brother is absent from the body, and present with God now. We are sad, but we have a blessed hope that one day we will see our dear brother in Christ again. Chuntang

I was so saddened to hear this news. I left Halifax 2 years ago and moved to Ontario. Hong was my realtor bur more than that we become good friends in the 2 years we stayed connected. I did not even know he was unwell. He is the same age as me. my thoughts are prayers are with is family who he would often talk about with so much joy. As a brother in christ we have a blessed hope to see our dear friend again.
